In tandem with developing the children’s storybooks, in October 2026, I authored a five-chapter educational primer designed to introduce residents of urban informal settlements to practical, low-cost approaches to environmental sustainability. 

The primer covers topics including urban heat stress and its effects on health, the environmental and social benefits of urban greenery, how to create a vertical garden using locally available materials, techniques for maintaining plants in space-constrained environments, and simple sustainable practices that could be incorporated into daily life. 

Developed as an accessible community resource, the primer served as the core educational component of the CityHack initiative and Chapter clubs mentioned under our work.
